Limit per conveyance
The most the insurer will pay for everything on one vehicle, aircraft or ship.
Definition
A cap in the open cover on the aggregate value the insurer will carry on a single conveyance — one vessel, one aircraft, one truck — and often on a single location as well. It exists because an accumulation of consignments in one place is a single event to the insurer, not many small ones.
Why it decides money
Consolidating several shipments onto one conveyance to save freight can quietly put the total above the limit. Check the accumulation before booking, not after.

More in what is covered
InsuranceScanner is an insurance intermediary, not an insurer — see the Terms for our role. Nothing here is a personal recommendation that a particular cover, sum insured or deductible is suitable for you. Where anything on this page conflicts with the certificate, policy schedule or wording issued by an insurer, that document governs.
